in love with knitting (again)

I took up knitting in 1990 when my friend Pallina taught me how to “knit and purl” for the first time.

That was the time of Nirvana, of the walkman and the Smemo (a superfamous diary that all teens in Italy used to have),

I loved knitting and I dreamt I could knit myself a whole wardrobe. Unfortunately, I only managed to produce scarves and blankets so after a while I gave it up and dedicated myself to other amenities.

Now I have met two very talented knitters Emma Fassio e Federica Knits that have re-boosted my knitting confidence. So I have joined them for knitting classes at Wool Crossing, Federica’s shop. In 3 lessons, 2 hours each, I have learnt the basics of circular needles knitting and sewing and I have made this hat!

Ok, precision is not one of my qualities but I’m sure it will improve with practice!

There are more classes planned in November, both beginner and advanced. Check out the dates here. Not to be missed, the Knitting Day with Emma Fassio on November 10, from 10 to 3pm. I will be there! Learn more and join here.
